“In Focus: Justice and the Post-2015 Agenda”, a global photography exhibition on ‘Rule of Law’


“In Focus: Justice and the Post-2015 Agenda”, a global photography exhibition on ‘Rule of Law’ by photo agencies “Majority World” and “Drik” opened at the United Nations on Monday, 2nd March 2015.

 

The installation was on display 2-27 March at the Palais de Nations and was complemented by informal discussions related to the Human Rights Council dialogue including new thinking on the Post-2015 development agenda.

 

The exhibit and discussion series builds on IDLO’s recent report, “Doing Justice to Sustainable Development: Integrating the Rule of Law into the Post-2015 Development Agenda” and will be featured throughout 2015 around key Rule of Law and Development fora.

 

Acting Director of the UN Office at Geneva Michael Møller, and representatives from the Permanent Missions of Costa Rica, Italy, the Netherlands, and Paraguay – co-sponsors of the event – join Director-General Khan in presenting the exhibit. Majority World Chairman Shahidul Alam delivered speech at the exhibit launch.

 

On the occasion of the 28th regular session of the Human Rights Council in Geneva, International Development Law Organization (IDLO) in partnership with photo agencies, “Majority World” and “Drik” organised this global photography exhibition.

 

Saiful Islam, Managing Director of Majority World and ASM Rezaur Rahman, General Manager of Drik also attended the opening. Obaidullah Al Mamoon organised the printing of the exhibition and helped set up the show.
