5th Children’s Painting Exhibition The Eminent artist of the country Professor Hashem khan, Media personality Nawazish Ali Khan and Professor Dr. Muhammad Zafar Iqbal have kindly consented to grace the inauguration of the 5th Children’s painting exhibition organized by Artist Abu Selim at Drik Gallery on 3rd March, Saturday at 4.30pm. A group of children from 5 to 14 years have participated on the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open till 7 March 2007 everyday 3 pm to 8 pm for all. |

"The Hill Children of Bangladesh" by Mahmud The exhibition organized by UNICEF in collaboration with MAP Photo Agency will offer a rare glimpse into the life of people – especially children and women – in the remote terrains of Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) and their daily battle for existence. UNICEF Representative in Bangladesh Mr. Louis-Georges Arsenault has kindly consented to formally inaugurate the exhibition. The exhibition will remain open till 10 March 2007 everyday 3 pm to 8 pm for all. |

"Justice for Nurjahan" by Dr. Shahidul Alam To commemorate International Women’s day Drik Gallery plans to hold a photographic exhibition by Dr. Shahidul Alam. The show “Justice for Nurjahan” is a photo documentary on Nurjahan who was found dead on 10 January 1993. The shalish found Nurjahan guilty of fornication, on the grounds that she was still married to her first husband; after debating the punishment, it decided that 101 pebbles should be thrown at Nurjahan and her second husband. |
