I am Pintu, and I was born on 5th September 1984. I joined the group in 1994. I enjoy taking photographs, listening to music, writing poetry, fishing, planting trees and taking down date palm trees.

I have experience in different types of work alongside photography. I have supplied beetlenut, date palm juice and molasses. I have worked on the land and planted many types of paddy. Right now I have a small business that takes up my time, alongside my studies. The work I do now doesn't pay very well. When I was younger, work seemed like a game. It is difficult to work from my home village in Barisal, and I only get 1-2 days work in a month. I give most of my pay to my father, and keep some as pocket money for myself. Since we are a working class family, my parents depend on what I earn in between my studies.

Something really funny happened to me once. On my brother's wedding night, we came to Dhaka and hired 12 rickshaws at around 10 PM. Me and one of my relatives were on a rickshaw together. I soon fell asleep and rolled off the rickshaw, without even waking up. A couple of hours later, after my dad and brother had poured water on my head to wake me up, I regained consciousness, and asked, 'What am I doing here? I want to see my sister- in-law'.
