I am Falan, and I was born on 1st May 1984. I started working with Out of Focus from the very beginning in 1994. I want to be a professional photographer in the future.

Before joining the group, I worked as a rickshaw puller, helper in local buses and tempo, steel welder, and as a helper in tea stalls.

I am working to support myself and my family, to help bring up my two younger brothers, and also for change in society. I was not able to stay with the group for two years and that is why I sometimes have a difficult time coping with all the things Out of Focus does as a group.

The most interesting event of my life is that once I was kidnapped. I managed to escape from the kidnappers with great difficulty. After that I was not able to talk for a long time, from some kind of drug they had fed me. At the time, our group was studying English at a tutor's home and I went along with them for three months. One day, our teacher was giving a class on our identity and country. Suddenly, I said out loud 'I am coming'. Those were the first words I said after several long months.
