My name is Bristi. I was born on 26th October 1987 and started working with the group in June 1997. I began working to pay my tuition fees and support my family, while protesting against injustice and working for the disadvantaged people. Besides my school studies, I work as a photographer, with video, and also as a junior television journalist at 'Muktokhobor', a programme broadcast by Ekushey Television.

My hobby is collecting stamps, keeping birds as pets and listening to music. My future plan is to become a journalist.

Once, we headed for Gazipur with our group and Shahidul Alam to ride our new boat. Four of us pumped up the plastic inflatable boat and started rowing. Suddenly, guards at the park where we were rowing came to us and told us no boats were allowed. So we headed for the river in Mymensing. There, I fell into the river and drank a lot of water. My clothes were soaking wet and it was winter at the time. It was soon getting dark, and I did not have any other clothes with me. So one of the boys gave me a shirt and a lungi (sarong for men) to wear. I covered the car with cloth and changed my clothes inside. Everyone who saw me, including my friends, laughed to see a girl in boys' clothes.
