You are cordially invited to the opening of “Japanese Flowers”, a photographic exhibition at Drik Gallery, Dhaka by Yoichiro Yamashita on March 17, 2007 at 5:00 pm. This exhibition is a joint collaboration of Drik and Drik Japan. The show will remain open for all till 22 March 2007, 3-8 pm everyday.

A photo exhibition on the Liberation War of Bangladesh titled “Amar dekha ‘71” (1971, As I Saw it) will be opened on 25 March 2007, Sunday, 5 pm at Drik Gallery. Drik Picture Library takes the opportunity to present an excellent body of work by Mr. Abdul Hamid Raihan who did this documentation during our Liberation War. This work is considered as an important addition to the history of the Independence of Bangladesh. The show will remain open for all till 3 April 2007, 3pm to 8pm everyday.

Abeer Hoque, a Nigerian born Bangladeshi American writer and photographer, will be presenting the upcoming exhibition entitled "The Lovers and the Leavers". The exhibition will contain text and images from her second book (in progress), a collection of stories, poems, and photographs set in Bangladesh and India. The characters include maids and mistresses, village children and VIPs, artists and addicts, windsurfers and wastrels. All lovers, and sometimes also leavers.
